In addition to recording this PSA as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina Jolie reportedly donated $100,000 to relief efforts right after the floods devastated Pakistan.

There’s no question that celebrities can bring attention to a topic. But do their appeals encourage you to donate more (or at all)?

    @Ohmygoshforreal that’s what we go you for-I wonder did you donate here at home? Or just race to the PC to complain. You don’t have to donate mega money, a little will do wonders. As well as money I donate my time. Any kind of help is needed.
    I’m glad she care enough to help. She and Brad are a compassionate couple.
    I wish other celebs would help half as much as they do.

    I don’t donate because a certain celeb is ‘promoting the cause’. But I think it is great when high profile celebs use their ‘fame’ to highlight a cause.
