Remember how Lindsay Lohan was not in attendance at the Machete premiere the other day?
I thought that was because she was just trying to stay away from temptation and make sure to stay out of the limelight right now. But, the truth is that Lindsay may not have been the one to decide whether she went to the premiere or not. Rumor has it that the director of the movie, Robert Rodriguez, didn’t want her there.
“He was frantically trying to track down her manager to make sure she didn’t go,” says the source.
While a 20th Century Fox rep says it’s “not true,” the source tells Us, “She wasn’t welcome there.”
Do you believe this story? I’m on the fence. On one hand I feel like most people in Hollywood believe that no press is bad press — so if that were the case you’d think that Robert would’ve wanted Lindsay there. On the other hand, with everything that has gone down with her recently, maybe he’s just playing it safe. What do you think?

She has been noticeably absent from the promotion on tv. So I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they were distancing themselves from her. But like you said – publicity is publicity…
I think it is true. With her jail time and rehab visit, that is all the press would focus on and everyone and everything else but Lindsay Lohan would be forgotten.
you’re way behind Vera….this news is at least 3 days old.
Can you be any more dramatic? It was first on People’s site late last night.
Late news or not this is the first time I’ve heard of it.
If it’s true than RR is a d**che. Why have someone in your movie that your only going to ban from the premier. What an idiot. I thought the d card was given to him when he left his wife for that chick from Charmed. But hay maybe they give out multiples.
do not know, and really not caring …
Yet, you cared enought to open up the link and post? I always find that humorous.
Robert does whatever his production company tells him to do. It is a shame, but money talks for him.
