Megan Fox Tells Elle People “Roll Their Eyes” When She Refers To “Her Husband”

Elle magazine is profiling 25 women under the age of 25 in celebration of their 25th anniversary. The magazine also shot four covers featuring Megan Fox, Lauren Conrad, Amanda Seyfried (you can see her cover below), and Gabourey Sidibe.

Megan told Elle people don’t take her seriously as a bride because she’s only 24 (even though she and Brian Austin Green have been dating- with the exception of a brief split- since 2004).

“When I talk about my husband [Brian Austin Green], I feel as if people roll their eyes. It’s like when you’re 16 and order a martini, and the waiter says, ‘Do you think I’m stupid?’ They can’t grasp that I’m old enough to be married.”

I know a lot of people wait to get married these days, but is 24 considered that young to be getting married?

Lauren shares the best part about being in her twenties:

“It’s your time to be selfish; you still have freedom. I was never that girl who just wanted babies. I wanted a career before all of that.

Amanda shares the best and worst (come ON!) thing about turning 25:

“The best thing is, I’m happy. The worst is that I’m scared; the scariest thing is that I know it can’t be easy-the years to come.”

Gabourey shares how she celebrated her 25th birthday:

“Part of me thought it would be weird if people knew I was a grown-up playing a teenager in Precious. So I had a twenty-first-birthday party. We had drinks and went to a strip club called Shotgun Willie’s.”

Sounds like quite a celebration!

ummm 24 is not that young (and didn’t she say she was engaged for years)…it’s weird I always feel like when she is interviewed, she constantly whines ie. oh I’m seen as a sex thing, blah blah age, my bf, I don’t belive in marriage. I don’t know if it’s her or that she’s bad at interviews.. I like to give people the enefit but Megan ALWAYS sounds whiny! I sure don’t hear Hilary Duff complain and she’s married at 22 (I could believe this), it really doesn’t matter what others say.

24 is really young to get married.

24 is not young to be married! people are crazy these days… you should be less than 30 if you’re bearing children so, no, 24 is not young to wed. people are probably rolling their eyes at her because she’s silly, not because she’s young. gosh, she is so self absorbed.

Okay, then get married when you are 28 or 29. You do a lot of growing up in your 20s. I sure was a different person at age 30 than I was at age 23.

lol people roll their eyes cause she married freaken David from 90210.

  9. Stephanie B says:

I was 24 when I got married and, while I have changed a lot between then and now, I feel my husband and I have grown together over those years and would do it again in a heartbeat. Age made no difference in our love and respect for each other. Whether a marriage is successful or not is based on multiple factors and differs from couple to couple.

  10. Ninni says:

To me it only seems like she’s too young bc she started dating him when she was just 18 or so. It’s like i still don’t remeber she’s a “real” adult now. And 24 does make me think of a teenager just a bit, there are so many 20-somethings that are still living very “young” lives. But the age, not too young at all. 21 might be imo, but even then just in general, not in every case.

I met my husband when I was 19 he was 29. We were married when I was 22, we’ve been happily married for 7 years now. I grew up alot and I think because he was older, he watched me grow and mature. I also watched him grow into a great man. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

  12. Lovett says:

I married at 19, My husband and I have been together 4 years before we even got married & lived with one another 2 years. We know each other like we know the back of our hands, some people thought we were to young to get married, but we knew in our hearts that it was perfect timing, Its been a year now and yes we have our problems but we always fix them. We have no kids and not planing to for a while. Megan isnt to young to be married, yes she might act like a child some times but she knows what she’s doing and at the end if everything fails it okay because people make mistakes all the time. I wish her luck with her marriage and she doesnt need to stress about what other people have to say, she happy and who cares what all you think! :) Best wishes !!

  13. Randall says:

Jeez, how old are you? Don’t mean to sound bitchy, just curious. I know that some couples have actually met in high school, got married after they graduated and remain happily married 30 years later. But I have to say, that’s a rarity.

  14. Justsaying.. says:

Oh please, 24 is not that young and the sooner people realise this the better. No wonder there are people age 30 and still acting a damn immature fool cuz they think “oh, I’m still too young”..fuck off
