Pink Releases New Music Video And Shares Touching Post

Pink shared some insight into her new video for the song “F****** Perfect” on her website. The song and accompanying video bring to light some important issues, which she explains her post.

I’m sure my newest video for “F**kin’ Perfect” will be much like some of my other videos, which basically means I expect it will ruffle some feathers.

Cutting, and suicide, two very different symptoms of the same problem, are gaining on us. (the problem being; alienation and depression. the symptoms; cutting and suicide). I personally don’t know a single person who doesn’t know at least two of these victims personally. A lot of us have seen certain starlets showing off their latest scars on a red carpet somewhere, usually right before they head back to their favorite rehab.

In the entry she shared her hopes for her baby-to-be:

“I have a life inside of me, and I want her or him to know that I will accept him or her with open and loving and welcoming arms. And though I will prepare this little munchkin for a sometimes cruel world, I will also equip this kid to see all the beauty in it as well.”

To read her full message, check her site and also check out her new video on MTV. The song and video are beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

ETA: I knew that I recognized the actress in the video! Her name is Tina Majorino, who played the role of Heather Tuttle, Amanda Seyfried’s character’s best friend, on Big Love. Well, she’s been in a bunch of other movies like “Napoleon Dynamite’, too! Anyway – just needed to add that because she was terrific in this video, as well!

Tina was a really busy child actor too. Remember the movie w/Whoopi Goldberg “Corrina Corrina”. The little girl was Tina.
