Chris Brown Wants Restraining Order From Rihanna Assault Removed

Chris Brown and his attorney, Mark Geragos, went to court yesterday to request that the restraining order that bars Chris from having contact with Rihanna be removed. Chris’ attorney pointed out that he had completed 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling.

“It makes it difficult at award shows and such,” Geragos said.

The judge did not immediately grant the request; when they contacted Rihanna’s attorney, her attorney wanted to consult with Rihanna before weighing in on the matter.

I’m glad they’re consulting with Rihanna before doing anything!

Is he up for any awards? Is there any reason for him to be there? I say keep that r/o in place. Just because he did the counseling doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of beating another woman…it just means he took the course and fooled someone into believing he is a changed man.

Ugh. He’s a douche. I don’t see why it would be a problem at awards shows. It’s not like they’re held in a tiny venue, it’s always massive. It shouldn’t be a problem for coordinators to seat him AWAY from her. And he could just steer clear of her at after parties. It’s that simple. If “normal” people can work around it then so can he.
