W magazine is speaking out in defense of their artsy photo spread of Kim Kardashian, you know, the one that had her in tears on this week’s episode of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York”.
Kim’s reaction to the spread was:
‘Oh my God, I’m more naked than I was in Playboy,” she said. “I’m so mad right now … [the magazine] promised I would be covered with artwork — you can see nipple!
W defended the shots:
“In keeping in line with the theme of W Magazine’s November Art Issue, Kim Kardashian’s cover was conceived as an artistic collaboration with well-known artist Barbara Kruger, and was a meditation on the influence that reality TV has on contemporary culture.”
“The inside portfolio documented the career and power of Kim Kardashian as a work of art, using the language of artists like Jeff Koons … and Gilbert & George.”
Did you see the spread? Did you think it was arty? Or trashy? I wonder if they’re getting order requests for the November issues now? ![]()

I think the real reason why she was so upset because they didn’t use too much photoshopped or airbrush. You can see all kinds of lumps, bumps and fat all over. She looks HUGE and her a-ss looks ridiculous and fake – it’s so obvious that she had some fat injection in it.
I personally think the “tears” and humiliation, etc., she is professing to feel is all a crock of crap. I think she thought her pics were going to generate a lot more buzz and hoopla than they did (really, Kim – what’s left to see of you????) – and she is just milking it to keep it alive.
Valuable information. Lucky me I discovered your website by accident, and I am shocked why this twist of fate didn’t happened in advance! I bookmarked it.
