Lady Gaga’s Video For ‘Born This Way’ Is Here!

Lady Gaga released her much anticipated video for ‘Born This Way’ today on VEVO and I must say, it’s very interesting! And long! The full length video clocks in at 7 minutes and 20 seconds! Although it shouldn’t really be surprising, Gaga does make her videos almost mini-movie like.

In the video Lady Gaga gives birth to good and evil! It’s all very Gaga-esque! It opens to Gaga reciting a manifesto, and according to US Magazine here is what she says at the beginning of the video;

“This is the Manifesto of Mother Monster,”

“As the wombs numbered and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life is not temporal, it is eternal. And thus began the beginning of the new race, a race within the race of humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom,”

“But on that same day, as the eternal mother hovered in the multiverse, another more terrifying birth took place: the birth of evil.”

“And as she herself split into two, rotating in agony between two ultimate forces, the pendulum of choice began its dance,”

“It seems easy, you imagine, to gravitate instantly and unwaveringly towards good. But she wondered, how can I protect soothing so perfect without evil?”

 You can check out the whole video below. I do love this song and love that she dances but I’m still not sure about the whole birth thing! What do you think?

    Besides the fact that I can’t listen to it with out hearing Madonna’s Express Yourself, I found it very long and boring.

      So true, I heard it for the first time yesterday while driving and found myself singing “Express Yourself” for the rest of the day :) My husband joked that it would be hilarious for a radio station (preferably the Ryan Seacrest one since it would get around quicker) to say “…and here is the new Lady Gaga song” and then start playing “Express Yourself” instead…we had a good laugh about it :)
