Ben Affleck Takes His Girls Shopping

Jennifer Garner must be out of town or not feeling well: it looks like Ben Affleck was on Dad Duty solo yesterday afternoon! Ben had his hands full when he took Violet and Seraphina to the flea market to pick up a few things.

It looks like they found some pretty flowers and fresh vegetables, at least :).

Seriously? Really? Jennifer Garner always takes the kids out alone but you never say, “Gee, Ben must be sick or out of town.” What is so strange about a father taking his children out all by himself? Who writes this blog, a 90 year-old man with a 1940s mentality? Sexist much? Wake up and smell the 2010s! Fathers share in childraising and that includes outings without mother-supervision!

I fully agree with the above comments. My husband and I co-parent as much as possible. Depending on our work schedules, he may be with the kids more for a period of time, or I may be with them more. But it all equals out. The fact that Jennifer gets photographed more with the kids means nothing. I have never commented on a blog before, and I really like this site, but such comments serve no positive purpose, unless you desire to keep stereotypical gender roles intact. People like me have moved past that, a long time ago.

Nothing about his hair-doo? You guys are way nicer than D-listed! Its almost rather refreshing. I will have to return. And yes, a daddy alone with not one, but two kids, is still cause for at least notice. It is still a rarity, especially in rich people who have child care. But let’s face it, he is doing it for the photo-ops. I’m sure at bath time, hair de-tangling time, ETC. he is not juggling two babies…or maybe he is…but anyone who wears a wig like that seems pretty ultra-concerned with appearances. Holly Wood. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is a loving Dad.
