Beyonce Lost Her Baby Weight Through Breastfeeding

So how did “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World,” Beyonce, get back to her pre-pregnancy weight so fast? Breastfeeding.

“I lost most of my weight from breast-feeding and I encourage women to do it; it’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself.

“I counted calories. I worked out maybe three to four times a week. I did a lot walking in the beginning and now I’m running. But I had to work my way up. I couldn’t just go right from being pregnant to running.”

I’ve heard women swear by breastfeeding and others claim it’s a LIE. But Beyonce herself admitted to watching her diet and exercising in addition to breastfeeding, and I bet that’s the trick! Beyonce also said she pampered herself a little bit before giving birth.

“I did have a fresh eyebrow wax. I got my nails done, I got my feed done, had my hair done and I had my little lip gloss. I didn’t feel that I looked beautiful during birth but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight. I barely recognised myself. But after many hours of labor I could care less about anything but my child. I didn’t care how I looked.” [sic]

So true (and a great strategy, to me!)

    I’m gonna toot my own here. I lost my baby weight in a week…A WEEK! by basically doing the same as Beyonce did. I counted calories in a non-obsessive way (meaning I’d eat more if I WAS hungry); for the first two weeks I did nothing but eat, sleep, and breastfeed; at the second week i did mild stretching, walking/elliptical, and I ate mostly real/good food (I’d have no qualms about a daily splurge, but it would be a treat and not a whole bag of cookies or junk food. Also, instead of buying cookies etc, I tried to make them from scratch so I could control/limit preservatives and ingredients). Most importantly, I exercised and had these good habits PRIOR to delivering. You don’t get to become a sloth just because you’re pregnant! (BTW, everyone is different and some women may not be able to exercise because of specific conditions)…but I’m pretty sure we can all eat healthy! And I’m going to say that I’m not skinny as a pole or type A, anorexic, or rich. I just want to advocate to women women that they do have choices in their pregnancy; Cravings are real but honoring and indulging are two different things.

    You don,t know nothing , dear about brestfeedind, nether the women who told you that loosing the calories with brestfeeding is a Lie!!! I tell you that is True!! You can loose all your extra kg by only brestfeeding even without counting callories!!! Trust me, i did it!!!
