Katherine Heigl Admits Baby #2 Was More Challenging Because She Had “No Newborn Experience”

You know, I hadn’t even thought about this, but it makes sense: Kathereine Heigl may have been adopting her second child when she brought baby Adelaide home, but something was new to her: she’s never cared for a newborn before! Katherine and husband Josh Kelley adopted Naleigh when she was nine months old. Katherine said:

“I was prepared for the nights and having to get up and all of that. But the beauty of it is it’s really only a few months of your life that you’re walking around like a zombie because you haven’t slept.”

That’s a good attitude! Naleigh is adjusting to being a big sister, too.

“Naleigh was super excited about having a new baby sister — until she arrived. Then she was a little hesitant about whether or not she wanted her to stay. And then she became her little protector and is taking on the role of big sister very seriously.”

So how is Katherine adjusting to her growing family?

“I think it’s far more chaotic than I anticipated. And I think every parent probably says that and every parent tries to warn new parents about it. And we all go, ‘Pish posh, it’s going to be fine. What’s one more?’”

One more is A LOT more, that’s what- LOL.
