Brad Pitt Launches Furniture Line

brad pitt launches furniture line

It’s no secret Brad Pitt has a big interest in architecture. That love of architecture was part of what motivated Brad to found the Make It Right foundation after the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans: he’s interested in designing homes, and the foundation’s mission is to build homes for those who lost theirs. Now Brad is getting into furniture design with a new line of furniture. Brad collaborated with furniture maker Frank Pollaro. Architectural Digest reports:

the actor is presenting about a dozen pieces—tables, chairs, and one rather fantastic bed… In addition to the bed—only nine will be made, each in different materials—the Pitt pieces include a dining table, a cocktail table, several side tables, a few club chairs, even a bathtub for two in Statuario Venato marble.

Brad said his love of design dates back to his college years.

“I’ve been doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s, when I first discovered [Charles Rennie] Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright,” says Pitt. “Actually, I found Wright in college, when looking for a lazy two-point credit to get out of French. It forever changed my life.”

The line will be unveiled November 13 – 15 in New York. You can find out more details at I don’t even want to IMAGINE how much even one piece from this line probably costs- LOL. But People has a picture of the bed, which does look fabulous.
