Ben Affleck Wins Best Director For “Argo” At The Golden Globes

Take that, the Oscars! After getting snubbed from a nomination at one of the biggest awards shows of the season, Ben Affleck won Best Director for his film, “Argo” at the Golden Globes tonight. And it’s a well-deserved win, considering that it’s one of the best films of 2012.

Looking a little nervous, Ben thanked the cast and crew of the film, along with his three kids – Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel – and his wife Jennifer Garner, who he says he “adores” and is his everything. At one point, he even looked down at his hands for the scribble notes his girls drew on him. Swoon. I’m telling you, I just can’t get enough of this absolutely adorable and beautiful Hollywood family. Congrats, Ben!

Claire Danes Wins Best Actress In A Drama Series

It’s all about “Homeland” tonight at the Golden Globes, baby! New mom Claire Danes has won the Best Actress in a Drama Series award for her role in everyone’s favorite Showtime show, “Homeland.” Fun fact: Claire has been nominated for four Golden Globes awards and has won all four. How come this woman doesn’t have an Oscar yet?

“I have to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for being so insanely generous towards me for so many years now,” Claire said on stage. “I wanna thank the other women in this category who are so badass, so brilliant, and have all in their own way contributed to making television this wonderfully rich place for really dynamic, complex, bold female characters.”

Congrats again! A new baby and an award? 2013 is lookin’ good for Claire.

Golden Globes: Anne Hathaway Wins Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Les Miserables!

You know how I said below that this awards season is going to be all about Jennifer Lawrence? Well, let me scratch that because it’s going to be all about Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway. The Golden Globes is all about the ladies tonight! Anne picked up her first Golden Globes awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in “Les Miserables.”

The actress called her globe a “lovely blunt object” and thanked her hubby and even managed to give Sally Fields a shout out. What did you think of that speech? While Jennifer’s was cute and funny, Anne’s was very humble, in my opinion. Congrats, you deserve it!

Golden Globes: Jennifer Lawrence Wins Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy

“Does this say, ‘I beat Meryl?'” Ha ha, LOVE IT! I mean, if Lindsay Lohan would have used that, it wouldn’t have worked as well, but coming out of Jennifer Lawrence‘s mouth makes it a classic. The young Hollywood starlet won the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her role in “Silver Lining Playbook.”

Something tells me that this awards season is going to be all about Jennifer. Her acceptance speech was so adorable, wasn’t it? The girl is on fire!

Adele Wins A Golden Globe For Best Original Song For “Skyfall”

OMG, I think I just fell in love with Adele all over again. The British chart topper has won the Golden Globe for the Best Original Song for “Skyfall,” which is by far my favorite song of the years. And yours too, naturally.

When accepting the award, the new celebrity mom looked too cute thanking everyone in her life, including her boyfriend Simon Konecki and her son. I was really hoping that she would finally be revealing his name, but no. Sigh. Either way, congrats, lady! You deserve it!
