ZACH BRAFF Looking For Investors For His New Movie

Celebrities Get Interviewed For 'Extra'

Scrubs star Zach Braff wants to make a movie, and he wants you to help pay for it.  The actor, who in 2004 put out the hit indie movie ‘Garden State‘ has wanted to make an unofficial sequel to the hit movie but he needs money.  In order to finance the film called ‘Wish I Was Here‘, he’s decided to start a kickstarter page in a bid to raise money.  Zach explains;

“I was about to sign a typical financing deal in order to get the money to make ‘Wish I Was Here,’ my follow up to ‘Garden State.’ It would have involved making a lot of sacrifices I think would have ultimately hurt the film.
“After I saw the incredible way ‘Veronica Mars’ fans rallied around Kristen Bell and her show’s creator Rob Thomas, I couldn’t help but think (like I’m sure so many other  independent filmmakers did) maybe there is a new way to finance smaller, personal films that didn’t involve signing away all your artistic control.”
So far he’s raised over $800k too.  Looks like he’ll have no trouble raising the $2 million that he’s looking for.  I think if people are willing to invest than this is a great idea. Check out his video below asking for support.  It’s actually very hilarious.
