THE SPICE GIRLS Devasted Over The Early Closing Of ‘Viva Forever’

'Viva Forever' - Press Night

I guess the ticket sales weren’t as great for The Spice Girls themed stage show ‘Viva Forever’ because it was announced last night that the show would be coming to an early end at the end of June.  The Spices themselves were sad to hear the news and took to twitter to express their thoughts. Geri Halliwell tweeted:

“We love u all @vivaforever , @emmabunton @MelanieCmusic @OfficialMelB @victoriabeckham #what a shocka , gutted x “

Emma Bunton later tweeted:

“I am totally gutted that our wonderful show @vivaforever is coming to an end. Thank you to all our amazing fans for your constant support!”

Mel C also took to her twitter account and was rt’d by Mel B saying;

“Absolutely devastated our wonderful show is closing. Thank you to our brilliant cast and everybody who made the show so incredible. (sic)”

Collectively the group released a statement about the early closure saying;

“We want to thank the cast and all the fans for their support, and although ‘Viva Forever!’ won’t continue in the West End we are thrilled that the thousands of people who came to the show had as much fun as we did.”

Not surprisingly, Victoria Beckham is the only Spice to not comment personally.  I really hope that Viva Forever makes its way to North America because I would absolutely go and see it!
