The Actor Is Dead At The Age Of 51

Such sad news tonight, reports confirm that Soprano’s actor James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano, has passed away at the age of 51.  The actor was in Italy where reports are saying that he either suffered a heart attack or a stroke. James was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily.

James is survived by his wife Deborah Lin, their 8 month old daughter and a teenage son from a previous marriage.   HBO made the following statement on their official facebook page;

We’re all in shock and feeling immeasurable sadness at the loss of a beloved member of our family. James Gandolfini was a special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone no matter their title or position with equal respect. He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth and his humility. Our hearts go out to his wife and children during this terrible time. He will be deeply missed by all of us.
