E.L. JAMES
The Author Takes To Twitter To Thank The ‘Supporters And The Haters’

"50 Shades Of Grey" Book Signing At San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Wow, who knew people would get so bent out of shape over a little casting news?  Yesterday E.L. James caused a frenzy on twitter when she announced that Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam would be cast as the leads in the big screen adaptation of her hit book Fifty Shades of Grey.  Seems that people were very vocal as to whether they loved or hated the casting news and they weren’t afraid to tell the author via social media.  Well E.L. responded last night on her twitter account writing;

“To all the supporters, lovers and haters — thank you so much for the passion that you have for this project. You all rock. All of you.”

I mean, like it or not, the casting is done, right?  Producer Dana Brunetti also took to twitter to defend their casting choices by tweeting;

“There is a lot that goes into casting that isn’t just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc”

“So if your favorite wasn’t cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list. Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective.”

“Thx to all the fans of @E_L_James FSOG for their overwhelming support of the casting choices. @MichaelDe_Luca &I can’t wait to start filming.”

Personally I like this casting and I can’t wait for the movie!
