Robert De Niro will replace his late friend James Gandolfini in new TV mini-series titled Criminal Justice, according to a reports. The 70-year-old actor will step in for Gandolfini in the adaptation of Peter Moffatt’s popular BBC drama of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Robert is believed to playing a lawyer defending a man accused of murdering a girl in New York. Gandolfini, who died in Italy last June, developed the seven-part series and signed on to star in the show.
