So despite all of the stories put out there that Kanye West doesn’t want to be involved in the Kardashian reality TV empire, and rumors that he’s been clashing behind the scenes with his future mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian’s own claims that she wants to at least keeps the parts of her life with her daughter, North West, private, Kanye agreed to pop the question before the reality TV cameras. Why the change of heart? A source dished with Radar Online.

“[Kanye's agreement was] trade-off because he wouldn’t allow North to be filmed in the days after her birth. He will have the final say on the edit, as to what is shown and how it is portrayed. But make no mistake, the proposal was a made-for-television moment. It was borderline theatrical.”

Well, that does make sense, I guess. So will Kim and Kanye have a quiet wedding? Doesn’t sound like it!

“Kanye is urging Kim to plan her dream wedding. It is not going to be a quiet affair. It will be lavish beyond belief. Kim will have several dresses and Kanye wants her to be wearing some of the top designers from around the world.”

So will we see it on TV? Kim’s lavish wedding to Kris Humphries was an E! special. Maybe not..The source says there “might be some trepidation” about that. The source also claims Kim told Kanye what type of engagement ring she wanted and wasn’t actually surprised by the proposal.

Something tells me we’re going to get to see something of the big event, just like something tells me we’re going to see more pictures of baby Nori. Honestly, I’m not surprised. I would’ve been FAR more shocked if Kim stepped out of the spotlight to be a wife and mother. How about you?
