‘The Biggest Loser’ Winner Exercises Four Times A Day

rachel fredericksonOh boy. I’m not sure Rachel Frederickson is helping her case as she makes the media rounds! People are arguing Rachel lost TOO much weight, going from 260 lbs to 105 lbs to win the 15th season of ‘The Biggest Loser.’ To make matters worse, it turns out Rachel isn’t 5′ 4″: she’s actually 5′ 5″, making her even more underweight than we thought! When asked about the controversy about her weight loss, Rachel said this:

First and foremost, my goals are to be healthy and strong. I’m an athlete. I’ve been an athlete since I was a little girl. And I went on The Biggest Loser journey to find that confidence that I lost.
“I just continued to follow the support system that I had from The Biggest Loser‘s [diet] plan, Dr. Cheryl’s nutritional advice and … continued to eat super healthy. Now I cannot be out of the kitchen. I have this zest for looking up recipes and trying them and adding new vegetables.”

The diet plan is 1,600 calories a day. Rachel also said she exercises three or four times a day. Goodness! At least she said she’s now working on maintaining her weight rather than losing anymore.

[I’m excited for] this next part of my journey, as my body balances and, you know, it finds its rhythm.”

As for exercising?

It’s going to be about finding, maybe doing a yoga class this day, a gym class this day and I even, I think I’m going to try dance classes.”

Dropping to one class a day would probably be good- LOL. Everyone is talking about the show and concern about celebrating Rachel’s weight loss. I wonder if she was just really focused on trying to win the $250,000 grand prize? Perhaps she plans on letting herself gain a few pounds. If that’s her thinking, then the trick will be just gaining what she needs and not TOO much.
