Breaking News: GWYNETH PALTROW & CHRIS MARTIN Split

gwyneth paltrow & chris martin split (1)OMG! I thought Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were as solid as they came, but after 11 years of marriage, they’ve decided to call it quits. Gwyneth made the announcement on her website, Goop.

Gwyneth wrote in a post titled ‘Conscious Uncoupling’ (info obtained via Rumor Fix since Goop was down at the time of this writing):

it is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”

Paltrow continues “we are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

Well, for a Hollywood couple, 11 years is a LONG time. I’m sure Gwyneth and Chris did everything they could to save their marriage. Sometimes, it just doesn’t work out. It looks like now they’re at least trying to keep their split as amicable as possible for the sake of their children, Apple and Moses. Hopefully they’ll succeed and be able to transition to successful co-parenting.

I feel like this isn’t surprising, but it’s still sad for the kids. Honestly, I’m so surprised he stayed married to her for so long when she seems so very, very insufferable. Sorry to say that, but OMG she seems to high maintenance.
