Liam Neeson has transitioned his career from a slew of romantic comedies (admit it, you love watching Love Actually!) to full-fledged action star. He sat down with GQ magazine for an interview (and photoshoot for their April 2014 cover!) and provided some insight into what propelled his career shift, who he’d love to work with, and what his life has been like raising his boys since becoming a single father when his wife – Natasha Richardson – died in a tragic ski accident a few years ago.
On who he wants to work with that he hasn’t yet:
“I’d love to work with Denzel. I have such admiration for him as an actor. I see an incredible nuance of someone who’s so comfortable in front of a camera. There’s an intelligence there; there’s an absolute truth. I’ve never seen that man portray anything less than the truth. It’s pure.”
“I’m keeping myself to myself. And I like it that way. I’m not hunting. I’m the opposite of a—what would a male cougar be? Is there such a thing? Whatever it is, I’m not that.”
