Poor Gwyneth Paltrow. Yesterday she posted this adorable Instagram pic of herself and her younger child, Moses, who turned eight yesterday. Yet the mud is still being slung at the actress. Radar Online reports Gwyneth used to force friends to watch her old films at “Goop Film Festivals” that she hosted.
A source dished:
[Gwyneth] totally embarrassed herself” last summer by holding a private “Goop Film Festival” event at her ultra-lush Hamptons estate. After the massive success of Iron Man 3, Gwyneth started hosting regular screenings of some of her old 90′s hits, including Seven, Sliding Doors and Shakespeare in Love.”
She then quizzed her friends about “what works about the movies.” OMG. The “friend” explained:
Gwyneth is really just trying to re-live her glory days. The truth is, if you look at her schedule, she’s just not a full-time actor anymore, but she still wants to be treated like a screen legend.
She’s been trotting out the old movies for her friends, but most of them would rather watch paint dry.”
But guess who skipped these screenings and discussions? Yep, her now-estranged hubby, Chris Martin.
I wonder if this is true. I really HOPE it’s not true. Yet if it is true, it sounds like it’s an earnest attempt to explore her old work. One thing I’ve really come to think about Gwyneth is that I honestly don’t think she realizes how she comes across sometimes (think back to the “I have it harder than moms with 9-5 jobs” comment), so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was FACT.
