As is often the case, Kid President has an important message. This one is for parents, and now that it’s summertime, it’s one that parents NEED to hear. Seriously. Kid President explains what kids really want on their family vacation.
The Kid President makes it clear: he and his fellow kids have had enough of “half vacations” or “vague cations” or “fake cations.” Instead, families need to take whole vacations. This means: parents give their kids their undivided attention.
Kids don’t want their parents to be busy emailing while on vacation. Sound familiar? Instead, they want to their parents to actually spend time with them doing fun things. That, the Kid President says, is when memories are made. SO true.
With the advancement of technology, it does feel next to impossible to truly “disconnect” from our everyday lives, especially work. Now you just have to check your smartphone to deal with emails as long as you’re in a place that has internet service. It’s crazy. Of course this impacts our kids! So before you set off for that family vacay this summer, watch the Kid President’s video and heed his message. Go make some memories rather than have a “vague cation” or even a “fake vacation.”
