The Browns and Houstons are still holding the bedside vigil for Bobbi Kristina Brown at an Atlanta-area hospice. Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Leolah Brown, took to Facebook to declare that “justice will be served” to avenge her suffering and impending death.
I guess now we understand the $40 million lawsuit that’s been filed against Nick Gordon as well as the Fulton County District Attorney’s “renewed interest” in the case now that Bobbi Kristina’s condition has taken a turn for the worse.
Nick is preparing himself for legal battle. He has assembled a high-powered legal team. Atlanta attorneys Joe Habachy and Randy Kessler have been representing him. Nick hired Jose Baez, the attorney who defended Casey Anthony, earlier this week to join his legal team. Their first step is trying to find out exactly what happened the day Bobbi Kristina was found facedown in a bathtub.
We do know that other individuals were present at the time of when the emergency personnel were brought in. TJ will be trying to establish who was present and what their role was.”
People close to Nick are defending him.
He feels – and we all feel – like Nick has been a scapegoat in this case. It’s scary for him, because he hasn’t done anything wrong. He is completely innocent.”
I’ve also heard that one of the reasons the Browns and Houstons are being so aggressive (with the $40 million civil lawsuit) is that they could be trying to stop Nick from making any claim to Bobbi Kristina’s estate, since he (and she) referred to him as her husband in public. This is like a preemptive move to prevent that, since it’s highly improbable he could pay a $40 million judgment. Given that Nick was never arrested during the police investigation, it seems unlikely he could be prosecuted for murder when Bobbi Kristina does die. We’ll see. The whole thing is just tragic.
