Ariana Grande said she got a “rude awakening” in light of the donut shop fiasco (complete with video that showed her licking and spitting on donuts that she didn’t purchase) in this youtube video she posted, which is aptly titled “sorry babes.” She said her reaction “wasn’t necessary” but also “wasn’t me.” Watch the video after the break.
Ariana reiterated again that, especially in light of the recent social changes within the country, she has never been prouder to be an American. She apologized repeatedly for her words and her behavior.
The singer said:
Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way makes you want to never behave that way again. But, you know, you learn from it. I was just really embarrassed. I never want to be anything but a positive influence… I feel like I let you all down… But, you know, I made a mistake, and I’m being judged for it, which I understand, because I watched it, and I was just as disappointed in myself, so I get it, 100%. I’m 22 years old; I’m human. I’ve still got a lot to learn, I’ll make mistakes, and I’m gonna learn…”
For what it’s worth, Ariana does seem sincere. Hopefully she really is sincere and is prepared to behave herself in the future. I agree wholeheartedly that we all make mistakes, and the best we can do is learn and grow from them. Watch her video, and then, tell me in the comments: what do you think of her video?
