I’ll be honest right up front: I chose this video as the day’s Feel Good Video because it made me laugh. Hey, it’s Friday: we need to laugh, right? Anyway, here’s what it’s about. Eran C. Galili paid a decent sum for his high end LIFX bulb, so, as you can imagine, he was none too happy when the bulb stopped working. When he called customer service, they suggested he make a video to prove the LIFX bulb wasn’t working. Eran obliged ;).

My LIFX bulb stopped working, and as part of customer support, LIFX suggested that I send a “video that confirms the issue”.
This is it.
Update: After reading some comments – LIFX suggested I RMA the bulb before asking for the video.
When I told them I live overseas and shipping cost for the RMA is prohibitive, they suggested the video so they could send me a new bulb and cover shipping.
And, true to their word, my new bulb is on the way!

It seems pretty ridiculous that someone had to go to the trouble of making a video, but at least Eran had a sense of humor about the whole thing, and the company responded appropriately by replacing his bulb! He had some fun with the video: check it out below.
