Cara didn’t seem to appreciate some of the questions, either, when asked how she managed her busy schedule. She seemed to be trying to make some jokes but her low-energy demeanor meant that they fell flat. At one point, the interviewer asked her:
You seemed a lot more excited about [the movie] than you do right now? Are you just exhausted?”
No, I mean, I’m still very excited. The premiere was last night and it felt like the end of an era, but I’m not any less excited than I was a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I had a bit more energy. It’s the morning.”
She’s also been promoting this movie for MONTHS.
Another interviewer asked:
You seem a bit irritated, perhaps it’s just us?”
Cara let her annoyance show through at that point.
No. I think it’s just you.”
At that point, the anchor cut the interview short with:
We’ll let you go then, how about that? We’ll let you go and take a nap and maybe have a Red Bull.”
OUCH. In Cara’s defense, she probably has to do MANY of these interviews for local news stations across the country; it probably is exhausting. Yet as one of the anchors pointed out, if you’re getting paid millions of dollars for a few weeks’ worth of work, then you should be able to sit through the interviews to help promote it.
Take a look at the cringe-worthy interview below:
