Kelly Osbourne had a bit of a rocky appearance on ‘The View.’ They were talking about hot topics, and Kelly was taking Donald Trump to task for his comments about Mexican immigrants. She asked: “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?” As you can imagine, the joke did NOT go over well.
Rosie Perez called her out for the comment before later apologizing, but Kelly still got a lot of flack on twitter. She posted a note on Facebook:
I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT. I whole-hearted f**ked up today. I don’t want to bulls**t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words. I should have known better as I was on The View and it was live. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole. By the way I clean my own f**king toilets.
Okay, so Kelly pretty much took responsibility for her comment ;).
Appearing on ‘The View’ can’t be easy. As Kelly said, it’s LIVE, and it looks like a constant struggle to just get a word in edgwise at the table! You’ve got to be able to make a quip fast on that show if you want to be remembered. I’m glad Kelly apologized.
