The Judds are BACK. Mother-daughter duo Naomi Judd and Wynonna Judd are reuniting for some shows in Las Vegas. It’s been nearly five years since they’ve performed together. They’re doing nine shows titled ‘Girls Night Out’ at the Venetian.
It’s a look back, a look present and a look forward. We’re going to talk a lot about our story. We have a great sense of humor and the show’s about laughter and celebration as well as music.”
I think their fans are going to Love It.
Wynonna, who’s planning on releasing a new solo album in February, is looking forward to reuniting onstage with her mom.
I know that my mama’s party dress is hanging, dry cleaned and ready to go. I’m looking forward to this show because it’s an opportunity to celebrate my mom.
“My mom is wacky and wonderful and has her own sense of humor. Back in the early days, I was like, ‘Mother! Don’t say that!’ I was very concerned about our image back then. But now’s the time to, as my son says, chill out! I’m just going to really enjoy her and be in the moment. She’s ready to start practicing every twirl. Get ready for the costume changes and the tiara.”
Naomi seems as exciting about returning to the stage as her daughter.
This show is for the fans that I have missed every single day since leaving the stage. It will be the thrill of my life to join Wynonna on stage again in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world.”
I’m glad to see these two teaming up again. The Judds seem to have a rather volatile relationship; I’m glad Wynonna and Naomi are on good terms to do this. Tickets go on sale starting August 28 at an Venetian box office. They start at $59.50. Will you be making a trip out to Vegas to see this?
