The tough aspects of fame are still dogging YouTube stars Sam and Nia Rader. As promised, Sam has put up a video explaining their version of getting kicked out of the Vlogger Fair in Seattle. They also say they’re taking a break.
Sam admitted that Nia was pretty upset with him after they were asked to leave the fair. He again denied actually threatening anyone, saying it was just a “verbal altercation” while confronting a vlogger who accused the family of faking their pregnancy announcement and miscarriage but admits he made a “really stupid, rash decision.”
I hope you guys can accept this apology and maybe understand where I’m coming from, I was hurt, we were all hurt by that…
“Today has been one of the hardest days of me and Nia’s life – by far – especially for Nia. Just so much going on with us right now. Just entirely too much.”
I can see that: these two have had a tough month between the pregnancy/miscarriage drama, the Ashley Madison bit, and then getting kicked out of the conference.
Sam then explained that they were taking a break from vlogging, saying it was “not feasible right now” although it’s not clear how long that break will last. First he says a week, then maybe three to five days. He did, however, reassure their viewers:
But we’ll be back. We’ll be as strong as ever.”
The video starts out with them walking away after being asked to leave the Vlogger Fair then shows them getting ready for the fair and them behind-the-scenes at the fair before being asked to leave. Check it out:
