Yesterday attorneys for Nick Gordon formally responded to the lawsuit filed by the late Bobbi Kristina Brown’s conservator which alleged that he caused her death and stole money from her. He denied causing her death via his attorneys in his response to the lawsuit.
Bobbi Kristina’s conservator alleged that Nick gave her a “toxic cocktail” that made her lose consciousness and then “put her facedown in the tub” after an argument that broke out after he returned to their Atlanta condo and viewed security footage.
Here’s Nick’s version of what occurred on January 31; he admits that:
[He] went out on the night in question, that he reviewed video footage and then had an argument with Ms. Brown and that he then changed clothes.
“Defendant admits that he tried to ‘wake up’ Ms. Brown and attempted to get her to react and that he performed CPR on her, and Defendant further admits that others unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate Ms. Brown.”
There’s no question that the events of that evening sound suspicious- who beat Bobbi Kristina so badly that she lost a tooth?- something tells me they don’t have the evidence to actually convict Nick Gordon.
I’ve read elsewhere that there are two possible reasons that Bobbi Kristina’s conservator is doing filing this lawsuit: it will compel Nick to testify, under oath, and perhaps he’ll say something incriminating (since he’s refusing to talk to the police at this point), and this lawsuit could stop him from making any kind of claim to her estate, since they did refer to each other as married even though they did not legally marry. Remember, the conservator’s lawsuit also alleges that he withdrew $11K from her bank account after she was hospitalized, and as far as we know, Nick doesn’t have a job. We’ll see how this all plays out…
