Things are still interesting where Terrence Howard is concerned. A lot of details of the ‘Empire’ star’s personal life were first spilled in a lawsuit with his second wife over their divorce settlement (he alleged she blackmailed him into a “too generous” divorce settlement, so he wanted to renegotiate it), and then he himself shared a lot of personal information in a Rolling Stone interview. Now he’s declaring his love for his third wife, despite their divorce, and Wendy Williams is calling for him to be fired over his domestic violence history.
Terrence tweeted some very interesting selfies with Mira Pak, who divorced him, despite giving birth to their child recently.

Mira’s even wearing what looks like her engagement ring. How are they celebrating an anniversary after their divorce? Maybe the divorce was for financial reasons of some sort? Terrence openly admitted that he was broke while trying to re-negotiate his divorce settlement with his second wife. I don’t know… it’s hard to know what’s going on with this guy.
Talk show host Wendy Williams suggested that Terrence needed to be replaced on ‘Empire’ due to all the recent press.
Terrence Howard, your personal life has taken over to where if by chance they took you off the show I would be happier than mad. I feel like between him allegedly being abusive to women in his personal life, him giving an 18-page nutty interview to Rolling Stone magazine where he talked about all kinds of nuttiness – it’s usurped his entire situation at Empire and the show could do without Terrence Howard. I’m sorry. It’s the way I feel.”
I kinda see her point. As someone who watches ‘Empire,’ I have to make a conscious effort to forget all I’ve heard about Terrence. The actor responded to Wendy’s comments via twitter:
I have been a fan of Wendy for years. Shame on anyone who speaks without knowing the truth… What she did was irresponsible and hurtful! — Terrence D Howard (@terrencehoward) October 3, 2015
I don’t think Fox is even considering firing Terrence: it certainly helps that the character of Lucius Lyon isn’t an upstanding citizen ;). The show’s creator, Lee Daniels, is even facing a defamation lawsuit from Sean Penn over his attempt to defend Terrence.
I think it’s disturbing, however, if other viewers are like me and have to make a conscious decision not to think about Terrrence’s personal life while watching the show. Yet, I was able to make the distinction and enjoy the show: Terrence is a good actor!
