Rosie O’Donnell, unsurprisingly, isn’t having an easy time of it these days. In addition to dealing with a nasty custody battle with Michelle Rounds over their young adopted daughter, she has to deal with the stress of her oldest daughter, Chelsea, moving out on her eighteenth birthday with her birth mother and giving a tell-all interview about life with her famous adopted mother.
In the interview, Chelsea claimed that Rosie had actually kicked her out twice: first when Rosie later claimed that she had run away and again once the police returned her to Rosie after the comedienne’s public appeal for her safe return. She didn’t have the greatest things to say about Rosie as a parent, either.
An insider said Rosie is “extremely depressed.”
It’s very sad and Rosie doesn’t know how to handle it.”
The insider also said that Chelsea “won’t speak to her.” This is such a sad story all around. I wonder if Chelsea is angling for a book deal or something like that? She’s now with the man the police found her with who has a criminal history. Chelsea hasn’t even finished high school, and Rosie reportedly has cut her off financially. It’s too bad that their relationship has taken such a bad turn.
