Now this will be an interesting pairing: off-screen BFFs Cara Delevingne and Rihanna are going to co-star in a movie together! They’ve both been cast in the movie ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ along with Dane DeHaan and Clive Owen.
‘Valerian’ is a film adaptation of the graphic novel, which was written by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mezieres. Cara and Dane play time-traveling agents in the 28th century who are sent to investigate a galactic empire. The director, Luc Besson, announced Rihanna’s casting on Instagram.
Filming begins on ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ in January; it’s scheduled to hit theaters on July 21, 2017. Rihanna had a role in ‘Battleship’ and a voiceover role in ‘Home.’ Cara has starred in ‘Paper Towns’ and will be in the highly anticipated ‘Suicide Squad’ movie next summer.
Both of these ladies are making big moves into acting! Although Cara has said she’s quit modeling, Rihanna is still singing and has a new album due out soon. Are you interested in seeing ‘Valerian’?
