Chris Pine may be the star of the ‘Star Trek’ franchise, but he’s happy to be the co-star to a female superhero in the upcoming ‘Wonder Woman’ film. He’ll be Steve Trevor, love interest to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. Can. Not. WAIT for this movie to hit the big screen! It’s WAY past time for one of the female comic book superheros to get her own film.
Chris said he’s “excited” about ‘Wonder Woman.’
Gal Gadot is super talented. Patty Jenkins [Wonder Woman’s director] will perform, and we will shoot in film…
“What excites me most is to work in a movie with a superhero woman. With a woman in the lead role. I am teamed with this intelligent, beautiful and strong woman to defeat the villains and save humanity.”
Gal sounds like she’s up for the challenge, too.
Oh, my God, I’m so excited about this role. I feel like I’ve been given a huge opportunity to inspire people, not only women. And not because of me but because of who Wonder Woman is and what she stands for. There’s a lot of responsibility. But I have the best team and the best people to work with. It’s going to be an amazing ride, knock on wood.”
Yet she already knows she won’t please everyone (like anyone can do that!).
People will always have something to say because that’s the way people are. And it’s okay. But for me, it’s my job. It’s my career. It’s my art. Whatever I do, I take it very seriously and I do my research and I give it my best. I just want to be able to shine and inspire people. And it’s not just about me. It’s the script and the story and the acting. I hope people are going to love it.”
We’re supposed to get our first look at Wonder Woman in ‘Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman,’ and then the ‘Wonder Woman’ movie is scheduled to hit theaters the summer 2017. Can. Not. WAIT.
