I guess the Honest Trailer for Pixar’s latest hit movie, ‘Inside Out,’ isn’t exactly a “feel good” video in the traditional sense, but it’s funny, and who couldn’t use a laugh? It’s Thursday, people: the weekend is almost here! As usual, the people behind The Honest Trailers nailed their interpretations of ‘Inside Out.’
They pointed out that most people who hear voices inside their heads are considered schizophrenic, and that the battle between happiness and sadness could also be construed as bipolar disorder. They also wondered how Joy could feel sadness and Sadness could start to feel joy. And they pointed out that a guy’s version of ‘Inside Out’ would be… well… very different. You gotta watch the trailer to see that one ;).
Of course we all know this is meant to be funny. The message underlying ‘Inside Out’ is clear: emotions get more complicated and nuanced as we grow up. We have to leave some things behind in childhood (like imaginary friends). Personally, I loved the movie ‘Inside Out,’ and The Honest Trailer version of it is pretty funny, too. Check it out!
