Pat told Entertainment Tonight that when the family found out Bobbi Kristina (who was called “Krissy” by her family) was doing drugs, the family had planned to try to help her.
When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it, but it just came a little too late.”
Bobbi Kristina’s conservator has filed a lawsuit, alleging that her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, caused her death. Pat had taken out a restraining order against him about a year before she died.
Where the world saw that she was angry and mad at me, she was texting me all along. I really tried to show her [that] I’m going to do this to let you know that you don’t have to be afraid of anything. I got you. External attraction can really cause problems.”
So true. And the reality of the situation is that you can’t make someone get help if they don’t want it. If they’re listening to the wrong people, then, unfortunately, there’s not much you can do. Pat shared what she wished she could tell Bobbi Kristina.
You have to love yourself. You have to call on people and not allow someone to divide you and then conquer you.”
Those are wise words. So what does Pat think of Bobby Brown’s plans to write a memoir?
I don’t really judge when it comes to that, you know? It could be something that could be very healing for him. You really never know what a person is going through so if he feels that he wants to write, he’ll do it. But the only thing is you have to be very truthful. If it’s good or bad, you have to own it.”
It’ll be interesting to see what Bobby writes. Here’s a clip from Pat’s interview with Entertainment Tonight:
