We are going to be seeing a lot of Jennifer Lawrence over the next couple of months! This month the highly anticipated final movie of ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise, ‘Mockingjay- Part 2’ is coming out. Next month we’ll get to see Jennifer in ‘Joy,’ which might just earn her some new acting noms. But she’s not slowing down: Jennifer is currently co-writing a film with comedienne Amy Schumer.
Jennifer shared some details of the script. She and Amy will be sisters in the film.
Amy, in this movie, she has it very together. It’s her lifelong dream to be a flight attendant. She works at the airport.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer’s character is, well, different.
I’m a MESS.”
Oh boy. Is Amy actually going to be the “straight one” to Jennifer’s comedic character?
Jennifer said it was seeing Amy’s movie ‘Trainwreck’ this summer that made her think the two could be friends.
I watched Trainwreck and I was like, ‘Yep, we’re made for each other.’ I reached out and everything just happened so quickly. We both have very similar senses of humor, obviously and aren’t afraid, which is a good and bad thing, because I don’t know what our movie will be rated. And we’re both very blunt. So we’ve gotten through a really strenuous process without ever fighting, because we’re both very straightforward.”
When she was asked if she was writing roles for her ‘Hunger Games’ co-stars, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer replied:
No, no, no, no, no …There’s not really boys in it.”
Girl power! It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with :).
