Of course everyone is wondering if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s new movie, ‘By The Sea,’ is in any way reflective of their real life, especially since Angelina wrote the script. Angelina has made it clear that the answer is no, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their, well, “issues.”
Brad and I have problems like any other couple. We have days when we drive each other absolutely mad, but the problems in the movie aren’t our specific problems.”
Hopefully that clears up the questions for everybody! If they really were having serious marital problems, I doubt they’d choose to put it on the screen for public consumption.
‘By The Sea’ was the first movie they have done together since ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith,’ where they first met. It wasn’t the same. Angelina said:
When we first worked together it was very different because we didn’t really know each other and we were young, and it was really a fun film, so we thought maybe By the Sea was going to be that kind of fun, but realized very quickly that it wasn’t. So it was challenging [this time], but we made a private pact that we were going to try to be as open and honest and emotive as possible and give to each other as much as we could and, succeed or fail, we would just lay it bare.”
Brad said their relationship did help them communicate while on-set.
Being a couple, we have that shorthand that can be communicated in a look. Conversely, it means I knew immediately she felt a take stunk.”
Well, at least he knew where he stood throughout filming- LOL.
