Oh my goodness. The gorgeous, must-have-dunked-her-entire-body-in-the-fountain-of-youth supermodel Christie Brinkley feels she wouldn’t be a successful model in this day and age? How in the world can that be?!
Christie visited ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ and made the confession there. Wendy Williams asked her what she thought of today’s models like Kendall Jenner while they were talking about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Christie replied:
No doubt these girls are drop-dead gorgeous, this is what our industry considers sporty, voluptuous, full body and Victoria Secret models used to be much fuller. In my opinion, I mean they’re gorgeous, yes, but they’re thin. Our industry is getting sort of thinner and thinner. If I tried to be a model today, there’s no way. I would never make it in the industry.”
I do think they’re thin, but so was Twiggy in the ’70s!
On one hand, many models do seem to be thinner than in the past. Yet there are also an increasing number of plus-sized models, too. It’s an interesting time. Can’t they get any regular-sized women out there? You know, so most of us could actually tell how the clothes would look on us- LOL? Watch this clip of Christie’s interview below:
