Bree Olson made the media rounds yesterday, and while Charlie Sheen has not said anything publicly about her accusations that she was with him when he was diagnosed with HIV and he never told her, the actor has responded through his rep.
Charlie’s manager, Mark Burg, said:
Bree Olson is all over Howard Stern but the truth is she wasn’t in Charlie’s life when he was HIV-positive and so there was no reason to tell her anything.”
Mark said that Charlie was “100 percent HIV-negative” in early 2011 and had been tested numerous times for the virus around that time. Hopefully they have the medical records to support that if Bree decides to file a lawsuit.
The rep added for extra clarity:
His (diagnosis) was long after he fired Bree Olsen from the [Violent Torpedo of Truth] tour.”
So there’s Charlie’s response to one ex-girlfriend. If the stories from yesterday are true, he will need to prepare to do this again. Many times, it sounds like. I think it’s great that Charlie came forward in terms of preventing anyone else from blackmailing him with the news that he’s HIV positive and just to put more attention to a disease that doesn’t get as much attention today as it used to but is still serious. However, something tells me he hasn’t finished facing the repercussions in terms of former sex partners.
