Album sales for the new Adele album, ’25,’ have passed 3 million in the United States, but the ‘Hello’ singer didn’t exactly thrill her US fans with her new announcement. She’s going on tour: in Europe.
Adele broke the record for most album sales in one week: that record was previously held by ‘NSYNC, which sold 2.416 million copies of ‘No Strings Attached’ in 2000. Now, it’s been announced that Adele’s album, ’25,’ has sold more than 3 million copies. How many copies of ’25’ do you think will have sold by Sunday, the first full week of the album’s release?
These sales figures are US only, so it’s clear that we’re fans of the British singer. Yet Adele’s American fans weren’t too happy when she announced her first tour in four years. Right now, at least, she’s only touring in Europe. I’m sure that’s going to change: give them time to book the US dates, people! For now, you can smile at the Facebook video that Adele posted announcing her tour: she had a bit of a time of it ;).
