Yolanda Foster surprised everyone when she and David Foster, who’ve been married for four years, got divorced. Now the former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ cast member is opening up about what went wrong.
Yolanda explained that her Lyme’s disease put a strain on their relationship.
Well, chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging. Not only for the person sick but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of the relationship.”
I can understand that, but it’s unfortunate. It just goes to show, it really is the challenging periods in your relationship that show you strong it is- or is not.
Yolanda said she prefers to focus on the good times they had.
We had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever. Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way. The truth is that we both worked through the difficult time through the best of our ability, so rather than judging what went wrong, I pick to honor the great times that we shed the last nine years. There were a wealth of good times.”
It sounds like she’s trying to keep a positive perspective. Good for her! Yolanda and David still have to work on dividing their assets. She reportedly has a net worth of $45 million while he is said to have a net worth of $30 million. There was no prenup? I kind of hope so for Yolanda’s sake, especially since she isn’t working right now.
Yolanda said she’s feeling better these days, however.
I am much better since the last time I saw you. I have about 60 percent better brain function than I did in the last year. I can still only live and plan one day at a time.
“The exciting thing is watching the episodes and inspiring me, and I could see the progress that I have made. I am excited and grateful for that. I will continue to fight for a full recovery.”
Hopefully she’s successful! Yolanda has had quite a struggle with Lyme’s disease. It’s been sad to watch.
