Let’s be honest: not everyone out there is a ‘Star Wars’ fan, although ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ will very likely debut at #1 at the box office this weekend. It’s important to remember that the United States has 300 million people, and not even half of them will see the movie this weekend (even if it feels like that’s the case). If you’re one of those people who is NOT a ‘Star Wars’ fan, then Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have your back this weekend with their new movie, ‘Sisters.’ Furthermore, Amy got honest about her feelings about the franchise this weekend.
The cast of ‘Sisters’ visited ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers.’ Since ‘Sisters’ is opening against ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ this weekend, the cast decided to talk about ‘Sisters’ using ‘Star Wars’ action figures. They played along until they got to Amy, who admitted:
I have read this guy’s name three times. I don’t remember it. I don’t care! I don’t care about Star Wars and I never f–king did! I’m tired of pretending! I’m tired of pretending! I don’t care about it.
“This guy’s face is covered up because he’s so embarrassed that he’s got to go see Star Wars. He’s like, ‘Hey, man.’ I don’t know, just…F–k! I’m so sick of it.”
Well, now, tell us how you really feel, Amy- LOL.
The truth of the matter is that Amy isn’t alone. I suspect many moms will be happy to let the rest of the family go see ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ while they catch a showing of ‘Sisters.’ Hey, who needs to be around people you know while sitting in a dark theater and watching a movie? You can catch up with each other over dinner afterwards! Take a look at this clip from the ‘Sisters’ cast’s interview on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers.’
