Red Dress Fashion Show

Fashion Week is upon us and I am so excited to be heading down there this weekend. Originally, I was going to do the entire week. BUT luckily, I aligned myself with my buddy Sam from Papier Doll who is going to supply me with photos from all the shows so I don't have to go the full seven days. PHEW!! Here are Lisa Rinna, Joss Stone, Heidi Klum and Ashanti at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2008 - Red Dress Fashion Show.

Here is Hilary Duff launching her new fragrance, 'Wrapped With Love', at the Myer department store in Sydney, Australia. We gave a few of her other scent away a few weeks / months ago and got a wonderful response. I'm going to work on getting us a contest for this one.Hilary looked great as usual. Love her hair color.

Michelle Williams Releases Statement On Heath Ledger's Passing

"Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken. I am the mother of the most tender-hearted, high-spirited, beautiful little girl who is the spitting image of her father. All that I can cling to is his presence inside her that reveals itself every day.
"His family and I watch Matilda as she whispers to trees, hugs animals, and takes steps two at a time, and we know that he is with us still. She will be brought up in the best memories of him."

--  Michelle Williams talking about her need for privacy
May they all find peace.

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

Rich
over at FourFour, who I've met before and love, is really getting known for the short videos he makes. A few weeks ago, he made one about Celine Dion that had me literally hysterical. But I didn't post it because there was some graphic language in it and I didn't think it fit with the site's M.O. Well, today a friend emailed me this one of Christina Aguilera and her yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah's that she does in all her songs. Guess I never noticed it before since I am a mega Christina fan. Do you have her Christmas album? I listen to that cd for about three months straight once I get into the Christmas spirit. Anyway, here is the video and visit FourFour for the Celine one as well.

It's The Beginning Of The End Of The Spice Girls... Again

Well, that was quick wasn't it? Looks like Spice Girl Mel C wants no part of this reunion and is pulling the plug earlier than originally anticipated. She's had enough and wants to go back to doing her own thing. I wasn't really aware she was doing her own thing? Readers from overseas, was she popular when she was solo?
"Geri and Victoria have been loving the attention and adulation the tour has been bringing the girls in the UK and North America. Mel B has really enjoyed being on stage and performing again. And Emma has found it hard with a young son but was prepared to carried on. But Mel C is the one who always insisted the reunion should be only short-term. Now she wants to go back to doing her own thing. Because they couldn't all agree the extra tour dates have been pulled. Touring has been harder on all the girls this time round. But all of them could have been persuaded to continue - apart from Mel C."

The band yesterday announced their gig in Toronto on February 26 will be their last. Originally, they were supposed to hit up Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina as well.

I'm Up Here 'Til I Drop

My 2008 New Year's resolution was to say yes to more things that get thrown at me. More times than not, I decline movie premieres, interviews and industry events. Well, that was the old me. This year I am going to anything that gets emailed to me because I just had a blast at Lenny Kravitz's concert tonight.
Lenny concert Kravitz6
I wrote a quote from Lenny a few weeks ago about how he is abstaining from sex. That day I got an email from a rep asking me to cover his concert in town. I said absolutely because this is the year for change. Driving there tonight in the downpour that hit Manhattan, I was regretting that decision. I just wanted to be home playing Warcraft (yes, I am a computer nerd) on the couch while watching some show we had logged on Tivo. But once we got into the theatre and to our seats (thank goodness they gave me a seat!!), my energy reappeared! The opening act was AWESOME. I am very much into quirky folky female singers. Lissy was her name and she stole my heart. Here is her MySpace page. Listen to the song Hey Boy. I LOVE IT!!Intermission and then Lenny came out rocking hard. It was so AMAZING. I became euphoric and was really surprised at how many songs I knew from him. It was funny because every single song made either Bill or I go, "Oh yeah! I forgot about that one!"Poor boy was really sick though. After two or three songs he said, "I have a 102 fever. But I'm up here 'til I drop." The crowd went NUTS. Lenny was such a trooper. The energy he gave to each song was electrifying. And his guitarist was unreal. Who is that guy?! The crowd didn't know what to do with themselves during his solo. And in what quite possibly was the most random moment of the evening, during the show Lenny screamed out, "Where are my Brazilian girls at?!" First all the ladies were woo-hooing, but then everyone stopped and registered what he said. And he didn't even follow up with other nationalities. It was just Brazilian. Guess he has a thing for that country. :)In the end, I highly suggest checking out his album, It's Time for a Love Revolution. It was a great show and all of his new songs are just as good as his old ones.PS - right before the show ended, he walked through the crowd with two bodyguards which I thought that was really cool. Sorry about the poor quality of the picture, but it was quick and dark. I could have pounced on him had my husband not been there with me to witness.

And before I end this post, I have to talk about this girl. She kept her arm up for the full concert. Sometimes two arms! At one point, I was just watching her to see if she would give up. But she never did. It was almost unreal.
