Would You Go Blue?

Green seems to be getting all the attention these days, so what's a lonely color like blue supposed to do?  Thierry Mugler, the designer behind the cult fragrance Angel, has created a new ethereal make-up line that features cool blue shades in very unexpected places (nope, not eye shadow, all you 80's fans!):  foundation, concealer, and lip lacquer!  Says the designer:
Blue enhances the skin's natural radiance."

Um, okay...sounds good, but still kind of scary! Allure asked a Cosmetic Chemist to explain the theory behind the blue revolution:
Blue pigment counters redness; titanium mica and ultramarine reflect the light."

I'm still scared.  But according to the reviewers at the beauty mag, the foundation and concealer gave them a "flawless--not smurflike--complexion."
Brave enough to try it out yourself??  Visit Thierry Mugler Beauty's boutique for more info!

Rihanna Coming To The Big Screen

Rihanna Coming To The Big Screen

Like many singers who have gone before her, Rihanna has decided that music isn't enough for her career...she needs to be a big movie star too. People are speculating that she'll be playing a part in Mama Black Widow, co-starring Kerry Washington, Mos Def and Macy Gray.

Set in the 1930's, the movie directed by Darren Grant will be centering its story on the migration of a black family from the segregated southern Mississippi to the Chicago's degrading black community. The story resolves around Otis Tilson as he fights to keep his family together in spite of alcoholism, pimping, sexual deviation and racial degradation circulating around them.

It sounds interesting and possibly controversial. Might not be a bad idea for Rihanna to make her acting debut in a movie that could generate some buzz.

Jake Gyllenhaal At LAX

Jake Gyllenhaal At LAX

Where were you on Sunday and Monday when I walked very slowly through LAX? I was like a hawk looking for its prey. But alas, it was just me and all the other non-celebs. :) I did however see some MAJOR drama go down when one flight got canceled with no plans for rescheduling. Cops were called in. People were arrested. It was WILD. I sat there and twittered blow by blow.

Back to Jake Gyllenhaal (the main purpose of this post), here he is catching his ride after landing in LAX. Anyone else still think of Heath when they see Jake?
