Catt Sadler from the Daily 10 sat down with Nicole Richie to talk about her guest-starring role in sitcom “Chuck,” her daughter Harlow, and dealing with paparazzi. Here are a few excerpts:

Regarding her guest-starring role on “Chuck,” 

“I was so excited when I got the part because I've always wanted to act and this is such a great opportunity. It's such a great show, and the best actors, and it's really funny. So I was so excited to do it. I'm really honored to be here.”

Regarding juggling motherhood and work, Richie says:

“Well it's actually been pretty easy coming here because I actually live right near the lot. And so Harlow just comes with me every day and she naps here. And in between takes I go and hang out with her and it's been really easy. The feeding schedule's a little bit difficult but I get used to it and she's loving it and everyone here loves her so it's perfect.”

Regarding the paparazzi, Richie says:

“I really try and not pay attention to it at all. I have my life and my circle of friends and I really just kind of try and always stay present in that, and not focus on all that other stuff 'cause it's all lies. I don't remember the last time I heard anything that was true. So I don't really focus on it, so in my world it doesn't really exist as weird as that sounds.”

You know, for a really long time I couldn't get over the grill that Brooke Hogan wore last year. After that photo, I wrote her off never to think twice about her again. But with all this MESS that is going on, my heart has softened and I really feel sorry for the girl. She recently sat down with Inside Edition about her upcoming VH1 reality show Brooke Knows Best and the turbulent year her family has had.

On not speaking to her mother: 

"I don't really know what my mom's motive is right now. I'm not talking to her right now. I see her at the jail visitations. It's really hard because I need my mom right now more than ever. I just broke up with my boyfriend, I’m dealing with not having my brother, I mean it's just a whole bunch of stuff that I really wish I could just call my mom and talk to her and I don't have that.”

“She used to be my hero…Now she's making all the wrong decisions and it's really hurting me because I just don't understand it…I don’t agree with what is going on and I don’t condone it. I’m like, ‘Why do I have to be the mommy?’...I don’t want to be the mom. I want to be the kid.”

On her mother dating someone younger than her:

“I do not have any words for that…I know if I was her age I would not be doing that, but people have different motives and people have different reasons for doing things that they do.

On Brooke's brother being in jail:

“He's doing a lot better. They put him in general population now with kids his own age and he's doing good.  He's been threatened a couple of times but thank God he's like 6'3" and he can hold his own.”

"I don’t know why women do Botox. It doesn’t make them look younger, it just makes them look like they had work done. You are not going to look the same as you did at 25. What are you going to do about it? It’s hard for actresses. Our faces get to be blown up 50 feet wide, and you see stuff that otherwise you wouldn’t. People freak out."

It's been a while since we've done some of these, so here goes nothing...and no, I don't know the answer to any of them! I'm just as in the dark as everybody else.

1. This fashionista is making her friends increasingly worried because she's not responding to any of their entreaties to get more help for her eating disorder.

2. LA gossips are giggling about a certain celebrity friendship at the moment. From the outside it seems to be nothing but a mutual love-in for these two, but insiders say their friendship comes more from a PR deal closed by their respective managers than the joy they get from each other's company.

3. This model has been at the height of her game for some time now, but perhaps her life isn't quite as perfect as it looks from the outside. Vicious arguments with her husband have been getting worse and she's started drinking to escape her problems, which she never used to do.

4. These TV stars like to present a clean-cut family image to their fans, but their neighbours have seen another side to the couple. According to insiders, their idea of exercise is jumping up and down on a trampoline while urinating on each other.

Excerpts from Amanda Peet's Cookie Magazine interview have come out and the actress decided to take a stand against parents who don't vaccinate their children.

Peet says on parents of unvaccinated children…

"I buy 99 percent organic food for Frankie, and I don't like to give her medicine or put sunscreen on her. But now that I've done my research, vaccines do not concern me."

“Frankly, I feel that parents who do not vaccinate their children are parasites.”

Vaccinations weren't the only thing Amanda spoke about. Cookie got The X Files star to open up about her baby girl, Frankie.

On the effects her work has on her daughter…

“I still feel desperately sad when I don’t win a role. When you’re able to identify your passions, then your child will be able to identify hers. It’s a great template.”

On the surprises of motherhood…

“One surprise of motherhood for me was how little control I have. I thought it would be an extended, blissful romance with me at the helm, cuddling this little creature to life.”

“It’s been bittersweet and humbling to let her lead, and to try not to be perfect myself.”
