'Twilight' Author Stephenie Meyer Will Be On 'Oprah'
It's about time! I know 'Twilight' probably wouldn't make the list for Oprah's Book Club, but the series is so popular, it seems only fitting that Stephenie Meyer should appear on 'Oprah'! And now she will, according to a message she posted on her website.
You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I'm only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So....I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th.
That's this Friday! Are you 'Twilight' fans excited?
Janet Jackson And Jermain Dupri Are Still Together
This is according to People, at least. The two were rumored to have split around the time of Michael Jackson's untimely death, fueled in part by Janet Jackson telling Harper's Bazaar she was "single" and Jermaine Dupri's apparent absence last summer.
"They never really broke up," a source tells PEOPLE. "Jermaine wanted to give her some space when Michael died."
That sounds rather odd, but everyone grieves differently. Although Janet and Jermaine may still be dating, don't take it too far and assume a wedding is in the works.
"They've been saying that for years and you don't see a ring on my finger," [Jermaine] told PEOPLE on Friday at a Prive Las Vegas party to launch his Nu Pop Movement watch line. "I guess it just sounds good to have that rumor this time of the year or something."
Maybe they just hit a rough patch? Either way, I'm glad to see this long-term couple back together!

John Travolta And Kelly Preston Have Relied On Scientology To Cope With Son's Death
I still Cannot Even Imagine coping with the death of a child. John Travolta and Kelly Preston are breaking their silence as they promote their new film, 'Old Dogs,' which is also daughter Ella Bleu's big screen debut.
"We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to give her a beautiful future in film," Travolta says during a round-table interview with the cast of the film.
"We've been working very hard every day as a family to heal."
John said this includes being around family, friends, and "almost daily religious counseling sessions."
"We have our own way of doing it, and it has been helping."
Both John and wife Kelly Preston said they appreciated all the support they've received.
Preston says the "outpouring of love from, really, worldwide has been extraordinary. It's been our friends, our family, our church. We partake in spiritual counseling pretty much daily.
"It's a tricky thing," she says. "Sometimes, something that's right for the moment is not right the next day. Being with people who are important to you, being with people that you love, I think that's what has primarily helped us the most. Sometimes, being alone, too."
Both John and Kelly declined to comment on the extortion case, which ended in a mistrial last month and will have to be retried.
'Old Dogs,' which also stars Robin Williams, is scheduled for release November 25.

Ashlee Simpson Is Bound For Broadway
Well, if Ashlee Simpson truly was struggling with being fired from 'Melrose Place,' then I'm sure this new role will help! She won the role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of 'Chicago.'
It's not an unfamiliar role. Simpson-Wentz played the role in the London run of the musical. It would, however, be her Broadway debut.
Moving from a struggling soap to a Broadway play isn't a bad recovery at all!

Dakota Fanning Covers Teen Vogue
Dakota Fanning may only be fifteen years old, but the actress has already worked with the likes of Sean Penn, Robert DeNiro, Denzel Washington, and Tom Cruise. So what else was left for her to do? Get involved in a major franchise! Dakota talked about her latest project and transitioning into being an adult actress with Teen Vogue.
Dakota will do that this month as the Volturi Jane in 'New Moon.' Jane has the power to cause pain without even touching her victims. Ouch! Dakota said she didn't need to do much to prepare for the role: "The red contacts were enough."
It wasn't a hard sell to get Dakota to sign on; she's a major 'Twilight' fan.
"I read all four Twilight books in one week. It's such a phenomenon, and I wanted to be able to say that I was a part of it."
Shooting 'New Moon' also gave Dakota a chance to get to know 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart before they started shooting their film 'The Runaways.'
"We became really close," Dakota says, "like we'd known each other for our whole lives. We talk all the time.
"I've never been such an evil character, and because I do know Kristen so well, being mean to her was really weird. It's like, Sorry, dude!"
Kristen apparently feels the same way. In an email from the 'Eclipse' set, she told Teen Vogue:
"Dakota is one of the most consistently moving actors I have ever worked with. I'm always better with her."

Kim Kardashian Offers Style Advice To Fans At Westfield Culver City
Cheerfully greeting her adoring fans, Kim Kardashian helped celebrate fashion with an appearance at the Westfield Culver City’s “Looks to Love” fashion event in Culver City, California on Saturday, November 7th.
The E! reality beauty looked her usual glamorous self as she took pictures and signed autographs for over 100 fans, and gave tips to Westfield Shoppers about how to find your style and how to dress fashionably for less. She talked about how she and her sisters love to go shopping together – its how they bond.
Her main tip: Always look put together and well groomed! Don’t leave the house looking messy.
Makeup tip: She loves the smokey eye look and the dark lip look but never put them on together. Pick one of the other.
She also talked about how you can take any style and make it your own by mixing and matching as long as you don’t overdue it.
After signing and taking pics with the fans, she walked around the mall and shopped in her favorite stores including Victoria’s Secret. She picked up a couple of leopard printed satin robes and said “they would make perfect gifts.”
Mel Gibson Is A Great Dad
Mel Gibson is an “incredible” and “hands-on” father to his new baby daughter.
The actor – whose girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to Lucia Anne on October 30 - has been praised for his excellent parenting skills despite only spending three days with his newborn because of work commitments. Oksana revealed:
“Mel’s very hands-on. He was amazing while he was here for a short visit. He has been very doting and nurturing. He is incredible with children, very kind.
“He’s an amazing person and he treats everybody equally. That’s what I know. I know him as a very kind and generous person, embracing his friends and family. He’s tremendous as a dad, unbelievable.
“He’s ecstatic. He is very much in love with her already. She just wins people’s hearts, she’s so beautiful and tiny.”
The 53-year-old actor was forced to take a break from his upcoming film ‘The Beaver’ as he rushed to Los Angeles to be at Oksana’s hospital side when she went into labor a month early.
Although he missed the birth, he arrived a few hours later and spent three days with his new family before returning to the film set last Monday. Oksana explained to Britain’s Hello! magazine:
“I was at home then I got rushed into hospital and, eight hours later, I could look at her beautiful face. Mel came just a few hours later because he had to fly from New York.”
Russian singer Oksana also admitted their relationship is still going strong.
“We’ve always been very spiritually connected and emotionally, too. We’ve always been very close.
“Having children is an overwhelming feeling, beautiful.”
The 'Braveheart' star already has six sons and a daughter with former wife Robyn - who filed for divorce in April this year after 28 years of marriage - while Oskana has a 12-year-old son Alexander with actor Timothy Dalton.
