Leonardo DiCaprio is not ready to have children just yet. He’s 33 and has “too many professional plans” left to even THINK about starting a family.
“I’m not that old, my biological clock isn’t ticking yet. I’d like to leave it to fate if and when I’m going to be a father. A part of me has too many professional plans to even seriously consider it. When I see the children in my family though, the idea of having children doesn’t seem too far-fetched.”
While Leonardo’s main focus is his career, he admitted he experiences feelings of loneliness when he is away working on movie sets.
“In this business nothing is as dangerous and as feared as loneliness. You shoot films in the most remote areas of the world; you’re separated from your family and your friends. And at some point you’re in your hotel room looking at yourself in the mirror and you realize how lonely you are and how far you are from leading a normal life. That is quite a punch in the gut.”
In order to combat his unhappiness, the ‘Shutter Island’ actor does his best to keep all his attention on movies. He told Germany’s OK! magazine:
“Apart from my phone bill soaring? I generally concentrate on work and push any feelings of yearning away.”
Wow. That was so honest. We only think of the red carpet premieres and huge bank accounts. That vision of Leo standing in front of his mirror being so alone is a new one for me. Yet another side of the business no one talks about.

Leo NEEDS to reproduce! haha
I really like him. He’s always dogged for being such a jerk, but usually by paps because he won’t give them a good money shot.
yup, i agree too.
I don’t find him attractive at all.
Do men even have a biological clock? It’s not like they have a set time limit for parenthood, unlike women.
I’ve met a few who were more crazy about having kids than their girlfriends because they wanted to be young cool dads who could play ball with their boys.
He’s 35, not 33. Get on it already
I was about to say the same thing.
He’s such a girly man… Just not my cup of tea at all!
