Alexa Chung Lands DKNY Deal
I don't watch MTV's 'It's On with Alexa Chung', but I do get the
photos of all the celebs leaving the studios after taping her show.
Alexa Chung just completely blew up in a matter on months.
And it keeps getting better... Word is she is to front a new campaign for DKNY jeans.
The British model will appear in spreads for the label's Autumn/Winter 09 collection, taking over from model Daisy Lowe who starred in the Spring/Summer 09 campaign.
ELLEuk.com reports:
"DKYNY jeans told us that Alexa was chosen because her style
epitomises that of the DKNY Jeans girl, while landing this contract
came as a direct result of her recent move to the U.S. - a career move
that has also seen her status as a world wide style icon sky rocket."
Actress-and-singer Hilary Duff, 21, will front a US campaign.
Photographer Scott Schuman took the shots, will are due to debut in August when the new range becomes available.
Alexa, 25, was discovered by Storm Model Management at a musical
festival when she was 16.
She appeared in a host of magazines - including CosmoGIRL! - but
decided to quite the industry after four years.
She then became a TV presenter, but did occasional modeling work -
including for Vivienne Westwood Red Label at London Fashion Week last
September.

Ryan Reynolds arrives to tape a segment for 'It's On with Alexa Chung!', an MTV show hosted by Alexa Chung in NYC. Ryan is there to promote his new film 'The Proposal', also starring Sandra Bullock. Ryan is looking mighty hunky in this picture set, don't you think?
I included pictures of Alexa arriving in case you don't know who she is. She's mostly famous for her weird and fun fashion and modeling career, but Wikipedia also tells me she's a pretty famous talkshow host in London.
'It's On with Alexa Chung!' is MTV's version of a talk show for a younger audience. Did anyone catch the premiere? Is it worth watching?
